  8. Cacao Ceremonies

    • If your event includes ceremonial cacao, we recommend avoiding coffee or other caffeinated drinks for at least two hours before the event to allow you to experience the full effects of the cacao during meditation and relaxation.

    • Where possible, we also recommend avoiding dairy on the morning of your event, as some people find this enhances their cacao experience.

    • If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, are taking medication (particularly antidepressants or blood pressure medication), or have any other medical condition that may affect your participation, please let us know confidentially by email before the event or speak to your facilitator on arrival. This allows us to determine whether a reduced serving of cacao or an alternative option would be more appropriate.

    • Participation in the cacao ceremony is always optional.
